Initial Consultation
Surgery
If surgery is elected, please call or email Thrive to schedule a date and time. Surgeries are performed Monday through Thursday. We will do everything we can to honor scheduled surgeries. However, certain time-sensitive cases may require more immediate surgery and lead to the rescheduling of elective procedures.
Recheck Examinations
Because all post-operative care is provided by the primary veterinarian and Dr. Serratore may not be available for time-sensitive rechecks, it is strongly recommended that all follow-up examinations, and pet owner communication, be performed by the primary veterinarian unless previously arranged with Dr. Serratore. Please respect this policy by not encouraging clients to directly contact Thrive. It is best for primary veterinarians to communicate directly with Dr. Serratore regarding all clinical questions or concerns.
Diagnostic Imaging Review
If you have pre- or post-operative radiographs, or advanced imaging series, that you would like Dr. Serratore to review, please submit the case for referral and attach the images as prompted. Unless otherwise arranged with Dr. Serratore, treatment recommendations will not be made until case details and an official radiology report are provided.
Emergencies
On-call after hours surgeries are not being offered at this time. If there is availability within the day, last minute surgeries may be added on a case-by-case basis. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have a time-sensitive need.
Payment
Thrive invoices the host clinic for all services provided (including initial phone consultations with pet owners). Diagnostic imaging review of potential cases or post-operative recheck radiographs are not charged for. Please be aware that scheduled consultations and surgeries cancelled with less than 24 hrs (business day) notice may be subject to a cancellation fee (up to the full price of the consult or half the high end of the surgery estimate).
Given the mobile nature of the business, scheduled consult and surgery times are estimates and may vary due to unforeseen delays at other clinics or travel conditions. We will make every effort to show up on time and communicate when a delay is expected.

Dr. Serratore performed surgery on my 11-year-old male GSD on Thursday, November 3rd to remove a large and probably malignant tumor from his throat. She did a magnificent job, and my boy (Qanuk) was able to come home with me Thursday afternoon. He is doing just great, eating well and wanting to play!
